Missions
Investigate the organisation of Mitotic Chromosomes in Lepidoptera
Activités
The candidate will apply genomic, microscopic and cell biological analyses to investigate the locations and mutual dependencies of several kinetochore and architectural proteins. This project will be in close collaboration with the lab of Leonid Mirny who wll perform biophysical simulations to complement and inform the experimental data.
Compétences
PhD Degree or Master degree in Bioinformatics with a diploma in Biology
Or Biology PhD Degree with a successful Bioinformatics experience.
Basic programming skills
Skills in Molecular and Cellular Biology
Autonomy
Fluency in English
Experience if possible in :
1/ Bioinformatics, Genomics
2/ Processing, analysis of next-generation sequencing data
3/ Previous work with high-performance computing systems is an asset but not compulsory
Contexte de travail
International research lab : Nuclear Dynamics / UMR 3664 located on the main campus site of Institut Curie - Paris 5th area.
The candidate will join the "Evolution of Centromeres and Genome organization" team.
