Missions

- Evaluate protocols for generating tumoroids using droplet-based microfluidics or microwell platforms
- Test anticancer therapies using these platforms, including chemotherapy and nanoparticle-based treatments
- Assess the risk-benefit profile of treatments in terms of tumor biomechanics and dissemination, particularly via the tumor secretome (including extracellular vesicles)
More precisely, we are looking for an assistant engineer to work closely with a PhD student on a project in the field of nanomedicine, with a particular focus on photothermal therapy for cancer. The project partially involves the use of microfluidics to gain a deeper understanding of the effects of photothermal therapy in combination with other treatments.
The assistant engineer's work will primarily focus on the biological aspects of the project. Key responsibilities will include conducting experiments on cancer cells, supporting microfluidic and photothermal therapy experiments, and performing data analysis.

Activités

• Master the use of droplet microfluidics platforms for spheroid formation
• Learn microfabrication protocols for spheroid generation
• Contribute to the development of tumoroid models incorporating tumor cell lines, cancer-associated fibroblasts, and potentially patient-derived xenografts (PDXs)
• Conduct chemotherapy tests, particularly sequential and combination therapies
• Test nanoparticle- and laser-based therapies, possibly in combination with chemotherapy
• Produce and characterize extracellular vesicles derived from tumoroids

Compétences

• Bioengineering
• Cell culture
