Missions
CRIOBE is recruiting a Post-doc for an 18-month period as part of the HoliHao project. The project's objective is to identify native plants capable of remediating certain soils at Hao Atoll (French Polynesia). The selected candidate will be involved in the sampling, extraction, and metabolomic analysis of organic compounds and heavy metals present in soils and plants.
Develop extraction methods for soils and plants, sample conditioning, and analytical methods for sample analysis using UHPLC-MS/MS, GC-HRMS (CRIOBE-MSXM), and ICP-MS (CEFREM).
• Perform multi-omics data analysis and statistical processing.
Activities
Activity 1: Screen candidate plants based on their remediation potential.
o Analyze soils and associated plants.
o Select the most promising plants.
Activity 2: Propose a proof of concept for remediation.
o Deploy the plants selected in Activity 1 on the polluted soils of Hao Atoll.
o Monitor the remediation kinetics.
Management and Coordination Activities:
• Hierarchically supervise a team of 2 people.
• Functionally coordinate a project involving approximately 10 people and 5 laboratories.
Skills
• Expertise in environmental metabolomics and chemical analysis of soils and plants.
• Proficiency in UHPLC-MS/MS and GC-HRMS techniques, with working knowledge of ICP-MS.
• Skills in multi-omics data analysis and statistical processing.
• Experience in team supervision and project coordination.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and within a multidisciplinary environment.
