-ensure the daily management of chemistry laboratories: stocks of reagents and small equipment, orders, maintenance of devices (manage a chemistry laboratory)
-develop scientific documentary monitoring in molecular chemistry according to the research projects of CEMES teams, in direct interaction with researchers (managing a project)
-implement complex chemical reactions by following the progress of the transformations, purify the synthesized molecules and carry out the first characterizations (optimize a synthesis)
Your Profil
The targeted profile is a BUT2 graduate specialized in chemistry synthesis, with good theoretical bases in chemistry and good practical laboratory experience (validation of a minimum 2-month internship). The candidate must demonstrate curiosity and interest in fundamental research in molecular chemistry/materials chemistry. Rigor and organizational capacities will be appreciated evaluation criteria.
Your Work Environment
Description of the employer
The National Center for Scientific Research is a multidisciplinary public research organization placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. Its 10 scientific institutes cover all fields of knowledge in biology, physics, chemistry, engineering, human and social sciences, mathematics, ecology, information sciences and sciences of the universe. The CNRS employs nearly 32,000 people, including more than 11,000 researchers working in 1,144 laboratories spread across the french national territory. The 17 regional delegations (DR) of the CNRS have a local management and support role for these research units, particularly in the field of Human Resources. For any additional information, please check the CNRS website: http://www.cnrs.fr/
The Centre d'Élaboration des Matériaux et d'Études Structurales (CEMES, https://www.cemes.fr/) is a CNRS laboratory associated with the University of Toulouse and the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA). It is a fundamental research laboratory in solid state physics, nanosciences, molecular chemistry and materials science. Its activities cover a broad spectrum ranging from the synthesis of (nano)materials and molecular systems to the study and modeling of their structures and physical properties (optical, mechanical, electronic and magnetic) and their integration into devices. The CEMES chemistry department's mission is to provide technical support to researchers in the chemistry laboratory by maintaining a set of 10 equipped laboratories. It participates in the research projects of CEMES teams by carrying out the multi-step synthesis and purification of synthetic targets and ensuring their physicochemical characterizations.
