Description du poste
Project: Dyes aggregates (H/J-aggregates) are fascinating supramolecular structures formed through the self-assembly of organic dye molecules. Thanks to their remarkable optical properties, these dye aggregates hold great promise for applications in photodiagnosis and phototherapy. However, achieving precise control over their formation remains a major challenge in supramolecular chemistry. This project focuses on the synthesis of cyanine 5/7 dyes using targeted molecular design strategies to direct their aggregation behavior.
Position: The work will mostly consist in organic synthesis and characterization (NMR, Mass spectrometry) of various cyanines dyes. In a second time aggregation studies and specific properties relevant to the applications will be explored.
Description de l'employeur
Host laboratory: The Laboratoire Lorrain de Chimie Moléculaire, located in Vandoeuvre-les-Nancy, France, is a young laboratory dedicated to molecular chemistry and its applications. It brings together 70 members including synthetic chemists, physical chemists, nanomaterials specialists and biologists.
Descriptif du profil recherché
Profile: You should hold a Master 1 degree in organic chemistry or related field, with at least one practical experience in the lab. Interest/experience in dyes chemistry or spectroscopy studies would be appreciated. Autonomy, reliability, and organization skills are highly required, together with a strong interest in a multidisciplinary approach. The project offers an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated student to develop a broad range of competencies within research areas that hold significant academic and industrial relevance.
