Job Description
Thesis Subject
Topological spin textures play a central role in modern magnetism, attracting great interest for both fundamental studies and spintronic applications. To date, the main focus of the community so far has been on topological magnetization structures in two-dimension (2D), such as domain walls, vortices, and skyrmions. In this proposal, we aim to extend it to three-dimensional topological spin textures (3DTST) beyond 2D skyrmions. To achieve this goal, we will: (i) develop an innovative ab initio multiscale approach that combines electronic structure theory and atomistic spin simulations for 3DTST; (ii) investigate the electrical read-out of 3DTST using first-principles transport calculations in realistic device geometries.
Your Work Environment
CEMES is a fundamental research laboratory in solid state physics, nanoscience, molecular chemistry and materials science. Its activities cover a wide spectrum from the synthesis of (nano)materials and molecular systems to the study and modelling of their structures and physical properties (optical, mechanical, electronic and magnetic) and their integration into devices.
