Description du sujet de thèse
Natural products are the basis for the development of many compounds with pharmaceutical potential. Carrying out their total synthesis is an important challenge which makes it possible to validate their structure and ensure a supply to further biological studies,
Quartromicins, isolated in 1991 in limited quantities, are natural compounds which have a broad antiviral spectrum against herpes, influenza and even HIV. These compounds, which have a unique 32-membered macrocyclic structure containing four spiro-tetronate units, have attracted chemists, but despite several approaches, no total synthesis has been accomplished to date.
The laboratory's interest in the development of new enantioselective transformations, including cycloadditions, leads us to wish to carry out the first total synthesis of these natural compounds within a collaborative ARN project
Contexte de travail
This project is part of an ANR (ANR-25-CE07-4308) The project aims to develop a synthetic route to quartromicins D3.
The work will take place at the ICSN site (Gif sur Yvette, France), (http://www.icsn.cnrs-gif.fr) which is a CNRS Proprietary Research Unit whose research axes are chemistry and biology and which is part of Paris-Saclay University.
