Description du sujet de thèse
Supramolecular regulation of chiral ligands for asymmetric gold(I) catalysis. The control of stereoselectivity in homogeneous catalysts is most often achieved by modifying the microenvironment around the metal center by introducing appropriate substituents on chiral ligands, near the latter. For example, in the case of gold catalysis involving C1-symmetric ligands, the main objective is to have the best possible «chiral pocket». Unfortunately, to achieve this goal, it is often necessary to synthesize dozens of catalysts with different steric and/or electronic properties.
In the framework of this thesis project, we propose a new strategy to effectively modulate the second coordination sphere of a metal center, through hydrogen bonds established between the skeleton of a modulable chiral ligand and complementary achiral additives. This strategy should allow us to optimize a catalytic process quickly.
Contexte de travail
This thesis will be carried out at the ICSN, in the Chemistry of Phosphorus and Catalysis team, under the responsibility of a CNRS researcher. The student will be able to take advantage of all the appropriate scientific and technical environment, in order to carry out his research in the best possible way.
