Inhibition of the DNA damage response by the intracellular bacteria Coxiella burnetii

Contexte de travail

The project will take place at the Montpellier Institute of Infectious Disease Research (IRIM). Current research focuses on a broad spectrum of infectious diseases of bacterial and viral origin and also aims to understand the cellular mechanisms involved in resistance to infection.

Contraintes et risques

The Coxiella strains used in our laboratory are avirulent and do not cause Q fever in immunocompetent individuals. However, their in vitro infectious cycles are identical to those of the virulent form of the bacteria.
