Description of the thesis topic
The objective of this thesis is therefore to realise an opto-electro-mechanical loop containing a microwave opto-mechanical oscillator and an acoustic delay line ensuring a sufficient delay. This corresponds to a physical distance of the order of a hundred microns. This approach requires the adoption of a new technology where the interaction between light and acoustic waves produces an efficient transduction. At the heart of this system is an opto-mechanical crystal, a resonator that is both optical and acoustic such that their modes are spatially superimposed.
