Description du sujet de thèse
In the context of the team's work on the optics of complex media, and as part of a collaboration with Imperial College, we are interested in the use of complex random lasers as a dynamic system, useful for artificial intelligence. From the passive experimental systems developed in our team, and the random laser networks developed by our collaborators, we are now looking to go further and introduce new functions, in particular the possibility of having trainable parameters in the system. The subject of this thesis, which is predominantly numerical and theoretical, but with experimental aspects, will involve implementing different machine learning algorithms on the various experimental platforms, testing their performance on different tasks of increasing difficulty, and guiding future experimental developments.
Contexte de travail
The work will be carried out in the "Optics in Complex Environments" team and as part of a project with Imperial College, London.
Contraintes et risques
Use of laser light.
