Job Description

Thesis Subject

The PhD project will focus on the study of the cognitive, emotional, and social mechanisms involved in information processing and resistance to misinformation during adolescence. It will aim to better understand the factors that promote information literacy and critical evaluation of information, and to contribute to the design and evaluation of innovative interventions for misinformation prevention and the strengthening of critical thinking skills.

Your Work Environment

The PhD project is part of the ANR-funded COGNI-SHIELD project, which focuses on the study of cognitive resilience to misinformation among adolescents. The PhD candidate will be affiliated with LaPsyDÉ (CNRS Joint Research Unit 8240) and will join a multidisciplinary research environment at the intersection of cognitive science, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, and educational sciences.
The candidate will contribute to all stages of the project, including the design of experimental studies, data collection and analysis, scientific dissemination, and collaboration with consortium partners.

Constraints and risks

The project involves conducting experimental studies with adolescents and collaborating regularly with several academic and professional partners. Occasional travel may be required for data collection, consortium meetings, and scientific conferences. Compliance with ethical and regulatory requirements governing research involving human participants will be essential.
