Job Description
Thesis Subject
Photon and charge dynamics in low-dimensional halide perovskites
Your Work Environment
This PhD project aims to explore low-dimensional halide perovskites, notably quantum dots and two-dimensional perovskites, as platforms for controlling coupled photon and charge dynamics. The project will combine materials synthesis, doping and interface engineering, advanced optical characterization, and hybrid device fabrication in order to study photon conversion, energy transfer, radiative recombination, and charge-transfer mechanisms.
A fundamental part of the project will focus on the photophysics of doped perovskites, using static and time-resolved photoluminescence measurements and, where relevant, photon-correlation experiments to probe correlated emission, radiative cascades, or photon multiplication. In parallel, hybrid architectures combining these perovskites with solution-processed semiconductors will be developed to examine how optical excitation processes can modulate electrical transport and lead to reconfigurable optoelectronic functionalities.
The PhD candidate will participate in materials synthesis, spectroscopic, structural and electrical characterization, device fabrication, data analysis, and the dissemination of results through scientific publications and conference presentations.
