Description du sujet de thèse
The thesis work will focus on high-performance solvers for differential equations with stochastic coefficients
Contexte de travail
The PhD student will conduct their research at the Centre for Applied Mathematics (CMAP) at the École Polytechnique, working with the HPC (High Performance Computing) and Inria Platon teams. They will participate in the theoretical development of solvers for sets of linear systems resulting from the resolution, by sampling, of partial differential equations with stochastic coefficients. Particular attention will be paid to domain decomposition methods, a family of solvers that are particularly effective on parallel computing architectures. The development of computational codes will be an integral part of the doctoral student's activities. In addition to their research work, the doctoral student will participate in its dissemination: articles in journals, presentations at conferences.
