Description du sujet de thèse

The PhD student will study the coupling between optical nanostructures and magnetic quantum emitters.

Contexte de travail

In our research group, we design, manufacture and use photonic, metallic and dielectric, nanostructures to study and enhance light-matter coupling. In particular, we are interested in the coupling between the magnetic field of light and matter, the coupling between chiral light and chiral matter, and the all-optical magnetization of matter.

Using state-of-the-art techniques such as inverse design, we numerically design nanostructures with properties superior to those of commonly used nano-objects.

Using state-of-the-art nanofabrication techniques, we create these nanostructures.

Using innovative experimental techniques, we characterize the amplification of the above-mentioned phenomena.

Collectively, research in our group is carried out cross-functionally, and each member is encouraged to collaborate with the whole team, creating a positive and productive working atmosphere. Individually, each person is encouraged to give his or her best, and is given special support according to career level (master's student, doctoral student, post-doctoral student, research engineer, junior researcher), so that the work carried out and the support obtained are fully beneficial (obtaining a thesis grant, a post-doc, help with project writing, career advancement, etc.).
