Description du sujet de thèse
As part of the ANR-funded project Strainographe 2024, we are offering a PhD position for a motivated candidate eager to engage in cutting-edge research in nanotechnology. This doctoral project lies at the intersection of disciplines and is conducted in collaboration between the CINaM and iSm2 laboratories. The research will focus on the experimental study of the optoelectronic properties of transistors based on graphene that has been covalently functionalized with chemical groups whose structure can be modified under UV-Vis irradiation. The main objective is to develop, characterize, and assess the performance of these innovative transistors.
PhD Work Plan:
• Design and implementation of an experimental setup for in situ electrical and optoelectronic measurements during the chemical functionalization of graphene.
• Fabrication of transistors using exfoliated graphene (Scotch tape method).
• Structural and electronic characterization of the functionalized devices using advanced techniques (electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, transport measurements, etc.).
• Analysis of the impact of chemical functionalization on the electronic performance of the transistors.
• Active participation in the interdisciplinary consortium's activities and dissemination of results through scientific publications and conference presentations.
Contexte de travail
• 3-year doctoral contract.
• Supervision by the NanoMaterials team at CINaM (UMR 7325, CNRS / Aix-Marseille University) and the iSm2 team (UMR 7313, CNRS / Aix-Marseille University).
• Guaranteed funding (ANR doctoral grant).
• Access to state-of-the-art experimental equipment in a dynamic scientific environment.
Le poste se situe dans un secteur relevant de la protection du potentiel scientifique et technique (PPST), et nécessite donc, conformément à la réglementation, que votre arrivée soit autorisée par l'autorité compétente du MESR.
