Description of the thesis topic

The main objective of this PhD is to determine the effect of experimental parameters (supersaturation, temperature, crystallization medium and solution viscosity) on the habit, morphology and crystal nucleation and growth kinetics. The results obtained will be part of the data that will be used to develop a numerical model capable of predicting growth forms.

Work Context

CINaM, a joint research unit at the CNRS is composed of about 150 people and 5 departments and is located on the Luminy Campus in Marseille (France).
The candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Stéphane Veesler in the Local Probes and Sources Department . This department has 12 researchers and teacher-researchers, mainly physicists and physico-chemists
