Job Description
Thesis Subject
The PhD project aims to develop new transparent organic redox mediators exhibiting fast electrochemical kinetics within the potential window of 0.6–0.8 V vs. NHE in acetonitrile. These new redox mediators will be incorporated into electrolyte formulations specifically designed for near-infrared-selective dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The objective is to optimize the electrical and optical properties of this new generation of photovoltaic devices. Time-resolved spectroscopies will be performed to establish structure–property relationships for these newly developed molecules.
Your Work Environment
The research will be carried out at the Laboratoire de Réactivité et de Chimie des Solides (LRCS, CNRS UMR 7314), a leading research center dedicated to energy-related materials and technologies. The project will be conducted in close collaboration with the neighboring Laboratoire de Glycochimie des Antimicrobiens et des Agroressources (LG2A) at the University of Picardie Jules Verne. The successful candidate will join the Solar Energy Conversion group and will be involved in a collaborative research project funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR).
