Description of the thesis topic

Characterization of the role of TRAAK channels in FHEIG syndrome and nociception. With a Master's degree in Biology (Master 2), the candidate will have acquired basic knowledge of molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, in particular Western blotting. Qualification in animal experimentation would be a key asset.

Work context
The Institut de Pharmacologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire (IPMC) is coordinated by Florian Lesage and located in Valbonne on the Sophia-Antipolis technology park. It is a CNRS-Université Côte d'Azur structure comprising around 250 people divided into 22 teams and shared services. The candidate will join the "Physiology and Physiopathology of Ion Channels" team, comprising 4 senior researchers, 23 research engineers and 1 PhD student.

The position is located in a sector under the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST), and therefore requires, in accordance with the regulations, that your arrival is authorized by the competent authority of the MESR.
