Job Description
Thesis Subject
As part of an ANR-funded project, the research will focus on studying the chromatin mechanisms that regulate gene expression during the response to oxidative abiotic stress in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana.
Your Work Environment
"The Aix-Marseille Institute of Biosciences and Biotechnology (BIAM) is a Joint Research Unit (UMR) of the CEA, CNRS, and AMU, comprising approximately 100 permanent employees and about 50 non-permanent employees (fixed-term contract holders, doctoral and postdoctoral students, and interns). The UMR is located on the CEA Cadarache site and on the Luminy Faculty of Sciences campus. BIAM's basic research projects aim to understand the mechanisms involved in living organisms' response to and adaptation to environmental stresses, as well as to develop technologies dedicated to preserving the quality of our environment. These projects are conducted using various multidisciplinary approaches on model organisms (algae, plants, bacteria) or on the most suitable organisms identified through biodiversity studies. »
The successful candidate will work within the LGBP team (“Luminy Plant Genetics and Biophysics”), based at the Luminy Science and Technology Campus in the Calanques National Park in Marseille. The position reports directly to Christophe LALOI, scientific director of the ANR-funded SEED project.
