Description of the thesis topic

Endocytosis and exocytosis mechanisms in cellular biology involve multiple molecular components that interact in space and time. The objective of the PhD project is to analyse the spatio-temporal activity of some of these proteins, with an appropriate mathematical model (the birth-death-move process), fitted on sequences of observed data.

Work Context

The PhD will take place in the mathematics laboratory Jean Leray of Nantes University, in cooperation with Inria Rennes and the Curie institute (Paris).

Additional Information

The candidate must have a Master degree (or an equivalent degree) in Applied Mathematics, specialized in Probability and/or Statistics. Good skills in communication and redaction in English are also required.
