Description du sujet de thèse
CERDI is recruiting a doctoral student in development economics to study the relationship between poverty and agents' preferences regarding risk and the present.
The thesis project must utilize the tools of experimental economics. It must draw not only on the concepts and tools of microeconomic decision theory but also on those of cognitive psychology and social psychology.
Candidates must have training equivalent to that provided in the Master's program in Development Economics at the UCA School of Economics.
Contexte de travail
The thesis will be supervised by members of CERDI and LAPSCO (UMR 6024). The doctoral student will be hosted at CERDI and will participate in the training program of the UCA Doctoral School of Economics, Law, Politics, and Management.
CERDI is a joint research unit under the supervision of the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), the University of Clermont-Auvergne, and the French Institute for Research for Development (IRD), specializing in development economics. With approximately thirty permanent members and as many doctoral students, it was awarded the "Laboratory of Excellence" label in 2011 for the "Initiative for Development and Global Governance" project (Labex IDGM+).
LAPSCO is a joint research unit under the supervision of the CNRS and the University of Clermont-Auvergne specializing in social and cognitive psychology.
