Thesis Objectives
• Conceptualize the functioning of a multi-monetary ecosystem based on community cryptocurrencies.
• Propose a systemic economic model of these monetary dynamics (non-competition, complementarity, traceability, non-fungibility).
• Work closely with the LIMOS IT team to ensure the technical and security feasibility of the proposed protocols.
• Participate in the implementation of an experimental prototype of the system, tested with groups of students as part of a teaching protocol.
Preferred Qualifications
• Required degree: Master's degree with research in economics (political economy, monetary economics, development economics, social and solidarity economy, etc.) or equivalent disciplines. • Solid knowledge of alternative currencies, cryptocurrencies, and heterodox theories of money.
• Skills in systemic or computational economic modeling.
• Strong interest in interdisciplinary approaches (computer science, economics, political philosophy, etc.) and technical issues related to blockchain.
• Demonstrate scientific rigor, autonomy, a good sense of critical analysis, and proven writing skills.
Working Conditions
• 36-month doctoral contract (2025–2028), funded by the CNRS via the 80|PRIME program.
• Primary affiliation: CERDI, Université Clermont Auvergne.
• Close collaboration with the LIMOS team (regular visits planned).
