Description du sujet de thèse
This thesis subject is part of the NANOMES (NANOgouttes Moléculaire en Conditions Extrêmes) project - 80IPRIME CNRS 2023, which brings together two institutes, IN2P3 and INP. The objective is to study the early stages of the formation of complex molecules in extraterrestrial environments such as interstellar and circumstellar environments. The challenge of understanding the mechanisms of their formation goes beyond the sole question of the origin of life and more generally questions the organisation of matter in diluted irradiated environments. The thesis work will focus on the study of model situations covering molecular clusters or nanodroplets of astrophysical interest isolated in the gas phase, combining experimental measurements (IP2I/DIAM-IN2P3) and theoretical modelling (LiPhy-INP) in order to characterise the influence of the environment.
Contexte de travail
The PhD student will participate in the experiments developed at the IP2I on the DIAM device and will carry out the data analysis. He/she will participate in conferences and/or schools during the three years.
Contraintes et risques
Experiments with DIAM are carried out within the framework of the regulations on safety.
