Job Description
Thesis Subject
Synthesis of New Reagents for the Introduction of the SF5 Motif
The newly synthesized reagents will be employed to develop direct methods for the formation of C-SF5 as well as heteroatom-SF5 bonds. Moreover, the developed methodology will be used in the synthesis of SF5-bioactive compounds.
Your Work Environment
The successful candidate will join the Fluorine Team within the Hydrazines and Polyazotated Energetic Compounds Laboratory (UCBL/CNRS/CNES/ArianeGroup). The laboratory enjoys internationally recognized expertise (including collaborations with NASA, the U.S. Defense Energy Support Center (DESC), and others) in the field of the fundamental chemistry of N–N interactions, encompassing hydrazines, their precursors, and polyazotated derivatives for space propulsion and fine chemical applications. The laboratory also specializes in fluorine chemistry, with a particular focus on developing alternatives to PFAS derivatives.
The successful candidate will work in an international environment.
