Description of the thesis topic

The objective of the PhD is to identify the best hybrid porous materials MOFs with the highest affinity for a series of indoor air pollutants (Volatile organic compounds such as aromatics, hydrocarbons, alcohol, aldehyde...) and the largest saturation uptake for a further implementation as sensors. This experimental work will be combined depending on the wishes of the candidate with molecular simulations

Work Context

This work will be performed in the DAMP-ICGM group world leader in the exploration of MOFs for adsorption/separation applications. Many collaborations with industrial partners for sensing testing will be involved.
