Job Description

Thesis Subject

The proposed topic is part of the ANR BIM-4-SIM project. The objective is to develop a method for the automatic generation of buildings, describing both their exteriors and interiors. The 3D combinatorial map data structure will be used.

The work will involve proposing a building generation method and subsequently defining several export formats to enable various building energy simulations.

LIRIS is the leading computer science laboratory in Lyon. It covers a wide range of computer science topics. The Origami team specializes in computer graphics, focusing primarily on three areas: geometry, rendering, and simulation. In the field of digital geometry, our work involves developing algorithms for the analysis and creation of meshes, point clouds, digital surfaces, and procedural shapes for virtual worlds.

This position falls within a sector subject to the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST) regulations; therefore, your appointment requires authorization from the competent authority at the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR).
