Job Description
Thesis Subject
As part of an ERC project, the recruited PhD student will study the organization and molecular composition of the cortical endoplasmic reticulum (cER) located in close proximity to plasmodesmata in plants, combining advanced imaging approaches with cell and molecular biology and proximity labelling.
Your Work Environment
This PhD project is part of an ERC project within the Laboratoire de Biogenèse Membranaire, offering a stimulating scientific environment and access to state-of-the-art technological platforms (imaging, Bordeaux Imaging Center). The PhD student will work in close collaboration with team members as well as with the platforms and collaborators involved in the project.
Constraints and risks
The position involves handling chemical products (fixatives, solvents, molecular biology reagents), in accordance with applicable health and safety regulations. The use of electron microscopy equipment may require handling liquid nitrogen and cryogenic materials. Occasional availability outside regular working hours may be required during imaging sessions. Travel for access to technological platforms and participation in scientific conferences (national/international) should be expected.
