Job Description
Thesis Subject
As part of an ERC project, the recruited PhD student will study the organization, plasticity, and function of the plasmodesmata network involved in intercellular exchanges in plants, using advanced imaging and cell biology approaches.
Your Work Environment
This PhD position is part of an ERC project within the Laboratoire de Biogenèse Membranaire, offering a stimulating scientific environment and access to state-of-the-art technological platforms (imaging, Bordeaux Imaging Center). The PhD student will work closely with team members as well as with the platforms and collaborators involved in the project.
Constraints and risks
Le poste implique la manipulation de produits chimiques (fixateurs, solvants, réactifs de biologie moléculaire), dans le respect des règles d'hygiène et de sécurité en vigueur. L'utilisation des équipements de microscopie électronique peut nécessiter la manipulation d'azote liquide et de matériel cryogénique. Une disponibilité ponctuelle en dehors des horaires habituels peut être requise lors de sessions d'imagerie. Des déplacements pour l'accès aux plateformes technologiques et la participation à des congrès scientifiques (nationaux/internationaux) sont à prévoir.
