Description du sujet de thèse
The main goal of the project is to study the dosage-sensitive functions of selected genes on the mouse X chromosome. This will involve establishing genome-engineering approaches to modulate the expression levels of the candidates both in mouse embryonic stem cells and in mouse embryos, and characterising the phenotypes using molecular and cellular biology techniques.
Contexte de travail
The person recruited will work in the context of the ERC-funded REGULADOSIX project in the 'Developmental Regulation of Gene Dosage' team led by Rafael Galupa, within the MCD unit (UMR5077), at the Centre de Biologie Intégrative (CBI, Toulouse). The team is working on understanding the regulation of gene dosage in the context of the mammalian X chromosome. The person recruited will be supervised by the team leader.
