Description du sujet de thèse
We are hiring a PhD student as part of our ANR DUKKED project, which aims to better understand the early stages of eukaryotic ribosome assembly. In this project, we will develop genetic, biochemical and microscopic approaches to characterize mutants of RNA polymerase I, its transcription factors and early ribosomal RNA maturation factors.
Contexte de travail
The work will be carried out in the "Nuclear Organization and Dynamics" team, headed by Olivier Gadal and Fréderic Beckouet, within the MCD unit of the CBI in Toulouse. This project is funded as part of the ANR DUKKED collaborative research project (PRC) in collaboration with the teams of Dr. Henras (MCD-CBI, Toulouse) and Dr. Marchand (EpiRNA, Nancy). Funding for 36 months will be provided.

Informations complémentaires
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated applicant to study the transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation of ribosome constituent synthesis. Applicants should have a background in molecular biology, transcription studies, RNA manipulation or a closely related field. Previous experience in yeast genetics will be an asset, but is not mandatory.
