Job Description
Summary of the scientific project
The project aims to analyse seismological and/or radio data to decipher dynamic processes occurring in the interiors of terrestrial and icy bodies, in support, notably, of Juice (Jupiter's icy moons), ExoMars (geophysics/seismology of Mars) and EnVision (internal structure and geo-logical activity of Venus), FSS and SPSS (internal structure and seismicity of the Moon). Ex-pertise in planetary seismology and/or radar or radio investigation techniques will be essential for interpreting the data from these missions. The development of advanced analytical meth-ods to interpret seismic, radar and radio signals will enable us to constrain models of internal structures, tectonic processes and structures of the near-surface subsurface, in order to bet-ter understand the geological evolution of these bodies. This work will thus help to answer key questions regarding the habitability of icy moons, the dynamics of terrestrial planets and the mechanisms of planetary differentiation.
Summary of the teaching project
In agreement with the partner institution or the OSU that will host the chair, the teaching post will be fully converted into a national observation post for space-related disciplines in plane-tary science, particularly in seismology (Farside Seismic Suite Service) and radar & radio science (Exomars/WISDOM, EnVision/RSE), accredited by the CNRS-INSU. This service will count as full exemption from teaching duties. At the end of the contractual period, the candidate will be appointed to a permanent post as Director of Research at the CNRS-INSU.

Each of the partner leading institutions and OSUs is involved in developing projects and in-struments to carry out seismological, radar and/or radio experiments on celestial bodies other than Earth (terrestrial planets and satellites) and on the Moon. This recruitment aims to con-solidate their leadership in the field and their capacity for multilateral cooperation with space agencies in the USA, China, Japan and Europe
Institution Strategy
Recruiting researchers who are deeply involved in the development, coordination and opera-tion of long-term observation programmes of the universe and planet Earth is a major priority for the CNRS and academic research. International Strategy
France is a world leader in planetary seismology (instrumentation, space mission coordina-tion, and the analysis of seismic data), and leads the international coordination of lunar seis-mic data within the framework of an international seismic network. It has also developed ra-dar and radio science programmes that are essential for studying the subsurface and interiors of terrestrial planets.

Research Policy
Open Science
The CNRS is developing a strong policy in favor of open science. Open science consists of making research results "as accessible as possible and closed as necessary". As such, the CNRS aims to make 100% of the texts of publications resulting from the work of its laboratories accessible , in particular through deposit in HAL. The data produced must also be made available and reusable, except for specific restrictions. In addition, the guiding principles of individual evaluation have been revised in accordance with the DORA declaration, to be more qualitative and to take into account all facets of the researcher's profession.
Science and society
The relationship between science and society is now recognized as a full dimension of scientific activity. The project will develop this dimension in synergy with all the partners. The resulting research work will contribute to informing public decision-making. Participatory science initiatives may be initiated with actors from the project’s socio-economic and cultural eco-system.
Scientific dissemination
The dissemination of the results will be done through world-class scientific productions: publications, patents, software... In addition, the results will be communicated to various targets such as scientific communities, media, decision makers, general public, schools, etc., with an adapted calendar. Specific tools may be developed such as websites, newsletters, meetings, international symposia, summer schools and conferences.
