This research position is a priority for the CNRS and specifically for its Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences (InSHS). It relates to one of the issues the CNRS committed to deal with: that of the mechanisms and contexts of education, learning processes and public policies. Indeed, the CNRS intends to shed light on the issues underlying educational inequalities and to develop tools and methods to fight against these inequalities.
This research position is also related to the role of the CNRS as the scientific leader for state-funded research programs on education. It is thus of particular relevance.
Finally, this research position will contribute to the InSHS recruitment strategy in the field of Cognition-Language-Education.
Stratégie du laboratoire d'accueil
The potential host laboratories are in various disciplinary fields: economics, language sciences and sociology. They have been selected on the basis of: a) their key position in research on educational inequalities and b) their inclusion in a very promising academic context in these fields. They are joint units with academic partners with which the InSHS wishes to develop or already has strong scientific ties
It will be expected from the successful candidate that he/she implements actions and partnerships in the research field of the present tenure track and submits a project to European calls (ERC, Horizon Europe Consortium, etc.) during the 4 years of his/her contract.

Résumé du projet scientifique
The researcher will explore two broad issues that are likely to intersect:
1. The examination of educational inequalities and the policies implemented to overcome them. it will be possible to investigate: educational tracks and their individual and collective determinants, the heritability of inequalities, care of neurodevelopmental disorders over the life course, intergenerational dynamics of inequalities, periods of vulnerability and their long-term repercussions, complex interactions between social and individual variables - e.g., self-perception/self-esteem and learning, evolution and evaluation of educational policies.
2/ The making of norms [technical, economic, legal, social, moral, political dimension];the production of meaning [symbolic dimension];the social and political dimensions of visual arts and graphic expression [ex. visual culture linked to urban spaces or social networks];visual aspects of fame and popularity …;
Résumé du projet d'enseignement
The teaching program will be discussed according to the research centre where the laureate will be affiliated. He/she will be involved in the existing teaching programs.
- Total financé (dont package ANR) : 200 k€
- Total du projet : 200 k€
The dissemination of the results will be done through world-class scientific productions: publications, patents, software... In addition, the results will be communicated to various targets such as scientific communities, media, decision makers, general public, schools, etc., with an adapted calendar. Specific tools may be developed such as websites, newsletters, meetings, international symposia, summer schools and conferences.
The CNRS is developing a strong policy in favor of open science. Open science consists of making research results "as accessible as possible and closed as necessary". As such, the CNRS aims to make 100% of the texts of publications resulting from the work of its laboratories accessible , in particular through deposit in HAL. The data produced must also be made available and reusable, except for specific restrictions. In addition, the guiding principles of individual evaluation have been revised in accordance with the DORA declaration, to be more qualitative and to take into account all facets of the researcher's profession.
Science et société
The relationship between science and society is now recognized as a full dimension of scientific activity. The project will develop this dimension in synergy with all the partners. The resulting research work will contribute to informing public decision-making. Participatory science initiatives may be initiated with actors of the socio-economic and cultural ecosystem of the project
The activity will be evaluated in particular on the basis of scientific production (publications, software, patents, etc.), on institutional and private partnerships formalized by contracts, on international presence, on the promotion of work to multidisciplinary scientific communities, on innovation and its transfer to society and on scientific dissemination to non-specialist audiences.
