Stratégie d'établissement
This profile refers to the CNRS' desire to propose a set of inter-institute CPJ proposals, in line with its priority dedicated to interdisciplinarity. This profile is designed to bring together earth sciences, ecology and environmental sciences, human and social sciences on a major issue for contemporary societies: the future of coastlines which are faced with the challenges of environmental transitions and their habitability in relation to the associated risks and hazards. Certain objectives of the CNRS COP are likely to be addressed (health-environment, territories of the future, climate change) through this project, without exclusivity.
Stratégie du laboratoire d'accueil
This profile was constructed by identifying one research unit (UMR LIENSs 7266) which is co-supported by three institutes INEE, InSHS, INSU. It is intended to reinforce this interface.
Stratégie Internationale
The objective of this chair is to recruit an internationally recognized personality with a strong potential for supervising young French and foreign students. It will also aim to strengthen and develop links with international partners.

Résumé du projet scientifique
The coastline, due to its location at the interface between land and sea, is an area with high environmental, social and economic challenges with regard to the acceleration of coastal development and the loss of biodiversity. The vulnerabilities of these interface zones must be considered in all their dimensions so that the complexity of these territories is studied with regard to circulation, mobility of people's goods, services, reactions (adaptations, resistance, social innovation, etc.) societies, sometimes conflicting. It is also particularly sensitive to the impact of global change and associated extreme events. The profile of this CPJ aims at a better understanding of the dynamics and trajectories of coastlines at different spatio-temporal scales, in a context of local development and global change.
Résumé du projet d'enseignement
Teaching will be discussed with the University of La Rochelle, the partner institution of the LIENSs UMR where the winner will be assigned. He/she will get involved in existing courses.
Environnement Financier
- Total financé (dont package ANR) : 200 k€
- Total du projet : 200 k€
Diffusion scientifique
The dissemination of the results will be done through world-class scientific productions : publications, patents, software... In addition, the results will be communicated to various targets such as scientific communities, media, decision makers, general public, schools, etc., with an adapted calendar. Specific tools may be developed such as websites, newsletters, meetings, international symposia, summer schools and conferences.
Science ouverte
The CNRS is developing a strong policy in favor of open science. Open science consists of making research results "as accessible as possible and closed as necessary". As such, the CNRS aims to make 100% of the texts of publications resulting from the work of its laboratories accessible, in particular through deposit in HAL. The data produced must also be made available and reusable, except for specific restrictions. In addition, the guiding principles of individual evaluation have been revised in accordance with the DORA declaration, to be more qualitative and to take into account all facets of the researcher's profession.
Science et société
The relationship between science and society is now recognized as a full dimension of scientific activity. The project will develop this dimension in synergy with all the partners. The resulting research work will contribute to informing public decision-making. Participatory science initiatives may be initiated with actors from the project’s socio-economic and cultural eco-system.
Indicateurs
The activity will be evaluated in particular on the basis of scientific production (publications, software, patents, etc.), on institutional and private partnerships formalized by contracts, on international presence, on the promotion of work to multidisciplinary scientific communities, on innovation and its transfer to society and on scientific dissemination to non-specialist audiences.
