Job Description
Missions
The project aims to develop a process for producing sustainable fuels (alternative fuels derived from sustainable feedstocks) by converting household waste and waste from industry and agriculture. This fuel is particularly intended for air transport, in order to replace fossil-based fuels and achieve a significant reduction in the overall greenhouse gas emissions currently attributable to waste and the aviation sector.
Activity
Experimental work in the field of heterogeneous catalysis. Analysis of reaction products using GC and SIMDIST. Energy balance of the process on the laboratory pilot reactor.

Your Work Environment
The Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination (LCC) in Toulouse is a CNRS research unit. Its central scientific focus is titled: synthesis and reactivity in coordination chemistry and heterochemistry. Around this theme, the LCC's research is structured into three main areas: catalysis, health, and materials.
The team involved in this position conducts fundamental research with applied objectives in the field of catalysis. Their work aims to develop and study new concepts in catalysis and to design new catalytic systems in the areas of fine chemicals and energy.
The study will be carried out in the frame of a regional Occitanie Region “Proof of Concept” project, involving an industrial partner and subcontractors.

Handling of chemicals and use of high operating temperatures in a reactor (laboratory pilot unit).
