The aim is to produce biocide coatings using a "safety by design" process using a nanoparticle reactor-injector. This approach is a total breakthrough.

The project consists in the synthesis of organometallic precursors. These later will be used in a reactor-injector for the preparation of nanoparticles of metal oxides by a process that is respectful of people and the environment. The materials will be characterized and evaluated for their biocidal properties.

The candidate should have strong skills in synthetic chemistry. Knowledge of handling in controlled atmosphere is required. An open mind towards processes, especially plasma processes will be a plus.

Work Context

The work will be carried out in Toulouse at the LCC in close collaboration with LAPLACE and IMRCP. Occasional missions to the University of Jena in Germany will also be possible.
