Job Description

Missions

Run numerical calculations (DFT...) to achieve the objectives of the project.
Develop adequat numerical methods necessary to reach these goals.

Activity

Study of the Pt/Co/HfO2 interface:
- Calculate the thermodynamical stability of interfaces as a function of their atomic termination, the oxidation state of the different layers and the atomic structure of the Pt/Co electrode,
- Calculate the static magnetic properties associated to the most stable interfaces (magnetization, magnetic anisotropy),
- Calculate the magnetic order associated to the modulated exchange parameters,
- Calculate the orbital torques as a function of the oxidation state and the electric-polarization direction in HfO2.

Your Profil

Skills

experienced postdoc with a good knowledge in condensed matter, spintronic applications, transport physics and calculations from first principles.

Your Work Environment

Project included in the activities of the MEM group of CEMES, funded by the labex NanoX.
