Missions
As part of various research projects, the LAAS Robotics and InteractionS team (RIS) is looking for a researcher (M/F) specialized in Human-Robot Interaction. In collaboration with researchers, the recruited person will participate to the development, integration and testing of different software components ranging from perception to action (e.g. knowledge base, situation assessment, supervision, planning , etc). One of the characteristics of the developments will be the consideration of humans and the social aspects relating to them.

- Development in robotic architecture for interaction
- Software developments, integration and tests
- Maintaining and updating documentation
- Writing of scientific articles
Compétences
Scientists: (knowledge in one or more of the following areas would be a plus but not mandatory)
* Joint action theory
* Social Affordances
* Robotic architecture
* Planning and supervision of tasks in an HRI context
Techniques:
- Experience code development (in team): C++, python, Github, cmake, ROS
- Programming languages: C++17, Python
- Operating systems: Linux
- Experience in developing applications for robotics
Contexte de travail
LAAS is an international research environment, the recruited researcher may be required to work in English.
Based in the university town of Toulouse, in the South-West of France, the CNRS-LAAS laboratory (Laboratory for the analysis and architecture of systems) is a research center with 640 people, 90 of whom work in robotics. It benefits from strong connections with surrounding universities as well as the aeronautics and space industry.
The position is located in a sector falling under the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST), and therefore requires, in accordance with regulations, that your arrival be authorized by the competent authority of the MESR.
