Missions

Postodoctoral researcher at Laboratoire National des Champs Magnétiques Intenses (LNCMI) – Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Grenoble, FRANCE, in experiemental condensed matter physics.
The candidate will work in the "ultrasound" team under supervision of D. Le Boeuf. The candidate's mission will be to enhance our knowledge on new states of matter emerging from strong electronic correlations.

Activities

Experiments in cryogenic and high magnetic field environment. Ultrasound and transport properties of strongly correlated materials will measured, analysed and interpreted. An existing measurement set up will be further developed to achieve better performance.

Skills

Candidates must have a PhD in experimental condensed matter physics. A good knowledge of low temperature experimental techniques is crucial.Experience in transport, and small sample manipulation under microscope will be appreciated.

Work Context

The LNCMI is a large scale facility which provides access to high magnetic field environment. Reasearch activities include collaboration with external users from aborad. The project benfits from intrnational collaboration with world class experts in crystal growth.

Constraints and risks

Experiments on high field magnets can occur at night and during week ends.
