Job Description
Missions
The successful candidate will use NMR to study the behaviour of all-solid-state battery prototypes from the LIMASSE project in order to characterise their chemical evolution and identify degradation during use. He or she will use and develop the electrochemical and NMR techniques available at CEMHTI (in situ, NMR, MAS), in collaboration with the partner laboratories that are developing the new materials within the LIMASSE project.
Activity
- Preparation and execution of NMR/MRI measurements
- Preparation and assembly of all-solid-state batteries
- Assembly and optimisation of in situ setups
- Data processing and interpretation
- Interpretation of results in collaboration with partners, drafting of reports and technical documents, and presentation of results to the consortium
- Dissemination through scientific publications
- Dissemination through conferences
- Production of project deliverables
Your Profil
Skills
- Experience in NMR, and if possible in in situ NMR
- Experience in battery assembly and electrochemical testing
- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team
- Independence and efficiency
- Ability to present results (written/oral) to a diverse scientific audience
- Fluency in English (written/oral)
- Proficiency in data processing and analysis tools
- Teamwork
Your Work Environment
CEMHTI is a CNRS laboratory (around 110 persons) and houses an NMR platform comprising six spectrometers (ranging from 200 to 850 MHz) and a diverse range of MAS probes (from 7 to 0.7 mm) and static probes for imaging or diffusion studies. It is part of the European NMR platform PANACEA and the national platform INFRANALYTICS.
The successful candidate will join the MATRMAG team 'MATerials and Magnetic Resonance', composed of 11 permanents researchers and staff, 3 PhD students, 3 post-doctoral researchers and 1 engineer.
About the PEPR BATTERIES (France 2030 research programme): this national research initiative aims at developing next-generation batteries. This project, led by the CNRS and the CEA, involves numerous research laboratories in France, each with unique and complementary expertise in energy storage technologies, and includes several laboratories from the French Energy Storage Network (RS2E). The aim of the LIMASSE (LI-MetAl Solid-State battEries) project is to develop all-solid-state battery prototypes, combining high storage capacity, safety and longevity.
The post falls within a sector subject to scientific and technical potential protection (PPST) and therefore, in accordance with regulations, your appointment requires authorization by the competent authority at the MESR.
Constraints and risks
-Participation in events organised by the PEPR Batteries and the LIMASSE project
