Job Description
Missions
The goal is to develop arrays capable of electronic biosensors for in-vitro electrophysiology. This 20-month fixed-term contract (starting September 2026) aims to drive the technological maturation of the project, in collaboration with Institut Néel (CNRS) and Linksium. You will be at the heart of the design, fabrication, and validation of innovative bioelectronic devices to overcome technical challenges related to the integration of biosensors in complex biological environments.
Missions:
1. Design and manufacture biosensor arrays, experimentally validate device performance on biological models in collaboration with academic partners; optimize fabrication protocols for multi-batch reproducibility and long-term stability (several weeks/months)
2. Develop functional demonstrators and their dedicated acquisition electronics; test and validate prototypes in representative environments; generate comparative data against existing technologies (MEA, patch-clamp) to demonstrate differentiating advantages (spatial resolution, throughput, stability)
3. Manage technical partnerships, contribute to the intellectual property strategy, and prepare the transfer toward a startup
4. Draft technical reports (project deliverables, standardized protocols), present results at conferences and in scientific publications, and participate in communication actions (website, trade shows, videos) to promote the technology
Activity
- Technological Development and Innovation
- System Integration and Demonstrators
- Collaboration and Technology Transfer
- Scientific Documentation and Communication
Your Profil
Skills

Your Work Environment
Institut NÉEL is a CNRS unit (UPR 2940) under agreement with the University Grenoble Alpes. The laboratory is related to the CNRS Physique. It is located in Grenoble, in the heart of a unique scientific, industrial and cultural environment. It is one of the largest French national research institutes for fundamental research in condensed matter physics enriched by interdisciplinary activities at the interfaces with chemistry, engineering and biology. It consists of 450 employees, including 175 researchers.
CNRS is a public, scientific and technological organization.
The core mandate is to identify, to carry out or to have carried out, either alone or with partners, all research that advances science or contributes to the country's economic, social, and cultural progress. Internationally recognized for the excellence of its scientific research, the CNRS is a reference in the world of research and development, as well as for the general public.
The hosting team at Institut Néel is TPS - Thermodynamics and Biophysics of small systems, which form part of the MCBT department.
