Missions
• Study the structure and dynamics of protein cages using an integrative approach
• Develop glyco-conjugated derivatives of protein cages (via cysteine-exposed mutants) for biotechnological and therapeutic applications
• Coordinate interdisciplinary collaborations (protein production, sugar synthesis, structural analyses) and ensure data integration for unified interpretation
• Publish results in international journals and present advances at conferences (e.g., structural biology, nanobiotechnology)
Activities
• Production and purification of protein cages and their cargoes
• Structural and dynamic characterization: Integrated data analysis (computational modeling, correlation of NMR/EPR/EM/MS data) and scientific manuscript writing
• Project management: Experiment planning and coordination with partners
Skills
• PhD in structural biology, biochemistry, or biomolecular chemistry with proven expertise in NMR (solid-state or solution) and/or protein biophysics.
• Practical experience:
- Protein production/purification (bacterial systems, isotopic labeling).
- Complementary techniques: NMR, EPR, native mass spectrometry, cryo-EM, or molecular modeling (a plus).
• Autonomy and collaborative spirit: Ability to lead an interdisciplinary project and interact with teams of diverse expertise.
