Missions
Within the framework of the European GRAPHIA project (HORIZON-INFRA-2024-TECH-01-01 – R&D for the next generation of scientific instrumentation, tools, methods, and solutions for RI upgrade), this position focuses on data curation activities under Work Package 3. These activities encompass the formalization of working practices and the creation of data corpora designed to be integrated into federated knowledge graphs.
The researcher will work on documenting scientific activities related to data production and structuration, carried out by project partners in the humanities and social sciences, particularly in heritage science, across various corpora and case studies.
Activités
Data curation activities cover the entire data lifecycle, from production to integration into open knowledge graphs. These activities will result in the creation of semantically rich data and metadata management workflows, designed for open access and intended for scientific and cultural dissemination.
Beyond the use of standard metadata management tools, a specific focus of the curation workflow will be on the detailed description of instrumental, computational, and analytical activities conducted by researchers. This will be achieved using the experimental platform Anamnesis, which is based on the W7 conceptual model.
Compétences
Advanced expertise in data collection and curation in heritage science.
Strong experience in managing thesauri and controlled vocabularies.
Proficiency in FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
Knowledge of semantic modeling approaches.
Experience in collaborative work in a multidisciplinary context.
Languages: French (C1 level), English (B1 level).
Contexte de travail
The position is based in Marseille, on the CNRS campus, in the US building, where the MAP laboratory (UPR 2002) is located. The researcher will join the INFRATECH GRAPHIA project team and will work closely with members of Work Package 3 (WP3), as well as with partners from the E-RIHS infrastructure and other ESFRI initiatives focused on social and cultural innovation.
Contraintes et risques
Full-time position with opportunities for occasional travel within France (specifically in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region and Paris).
Research missions may also require fieldwork or laboratory assignments abroad
