Your Work Environment
The UPR 2002 MAP laboratory (www.map.cnrs.fr) is located at the intersection of emerging interdisciplinary fields – heritage sciences and data science – and focuses on the development and testing of solutions from the above-mentioned fields in their application to heritage or historical sciences. The laboratory's work is characterised by the search for dialogue between objects of study (at different scales), methods, instrumentation and the development of research prototypes (in the sense of software and IT tools, with a clear focus on open source developments).
The missions are part of the Stratigraph project, Knowledge Graphs for Stratigraphy (HORIZON-CL2-2024-HERITAGE-ECCCH-01-02 Innovative tools for documenting, interlinking and organising data), which brings together numerous European partners. The engineer will be supported by a researcher and a research engineer, who are the scientific leaders of the project within MAP, and will work mainly in collaboration with the WP6 partners within Stratigraph.
