Work Context

The team is part of the I2BC (Institute of Integrative Cell Biology, building 409 University campus of Orsay), Department of Microbiology. This team is studying various aspects of the biology of anaerobic hyperthermophilic archaea. The team is studying the enzymes involved in the evolution of the archaeal genome such as topoisomerases and integrases with a molecular and biochemical approach. The evolution of these genomes is also studied by the bioinformatic approach. The candidate will participate in both appproches. The team consists of 4 permanent researchers, 2 ITAs. The candidate will be supervised by the team leader, Jacques Oberto.
