Missions

The position is part of a research project aiming to better understand how plants perceive and integrate environmental signals related to temperature and nitrogen availability. The recruited researcher will be responsible for studying the combined effects of temperature and nitrogen nutrition on the growth and development of Arabidopsis thaliana.

Activities

- Set up, conduct, and monitor experiments under controlled conditions.
- Perform physiological measurements related to plant growth, development, and nutritional status.
- Carry out molecular or biochemical analyses.
- Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data.
- Write scientific manuscripts.

Skills

PhD in plant biology or plant physiology, with a component in molecular biology.

Technical skills:
- Proficiency in plant physiology and plant molecular biology approaches
- Knowledge of experimental data analysis

Transversal skills:
- Autonomy, experimental rigor, strong organizational skills
- Good scientific communication abilities (written and oral)
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment

Work Context

The position is based at the Institute for Integrative Biology of the Cell (I2BC, UMR 9198), located on the Gif-sur-Yvette campus. The I2BC is a joint research unit (CNRS, CEA, Université Paris-Saclay) that brings together research teams working on topics ranging from structural biology to genome biology, as well as cell biology and metabolism. The institute benefits from state-of-the-art technological platforms and innovative infrastructures for plant culture.
