Research within ERC project Blackjack (fast Monte Carlo methods using repulsive stochastic processes), PI Rémi Bardenet.


- Develop new Monte Carlo or statistical signal processing algorithms
- Study their theoretical properties
- Participate to open-source scientific software


- PhD in statistics, applied probability, signal processing, or computer science
- Autonomy
- Good coding skills in Python or R
- full professional proficiency in written and oral English

Work Context

CRIStAL was born on January 1st, 2015. CRIStAL is one of the partner of the institute of interdisciplinary researches IRCICA-USR CNRS 3380 ( ).
The laboratory is composed of about 430 members (230 permanent employees and more than 200 non-permanent employees) among whom 28 permanent employees of the CNRS and 21 of Inria.
Main CRIStAL Research activities involve topics related to major scientific and social issues such as Big Data, software, image and its uses, human-computer interaction, robotics, control and supervision of large systems, intelligent vehicle systems, bio-informatics ... with applications in retails, technologies for health, smart grids.
Les activités de recherche de CRIStAL concernent les thématiques liées aux grands enjeux scientifiques et sociétaux du moment tels que : BigData, logiciel, image et ses usages, interactions homme-machine, robotique, commande et supervision de grands systèmes, systèmes embarqués intelligents, bio-informatique… avec des applications notamment dans les secteurs de l'industrie du commerce, des technologies pour la santé, des smart grids.
