Missions
This project falls within the scope of the “Senescence, Fibrosis and Cancer” team, and focuses on the role of non-coding RNAs in the fibrosis process. This position is offered as part of the STARNASH project, funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR). It builds on our recent work identifying the long non-coding RNA DNM3OS as a key gene involved in profibrotic processes. The main objective of the project is to validate DNM3OS as a novel therapeutic target to limit the progression of Metabolic dysfunction-Associated SteatoHepatitis (MASH, formerly NASH) and to prevent the development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The selected postdoctoral researcher will investigate the expression and function of DNM3OS in in vitro and in vivo models of MASH and HCC. He/she will perform transcriptomic (RNA-seq, qPCR) and proteomic (Western blot, immunohistochemistry) analyses to characterize the pathways regulated by DNM3OS. He/she will use loss- and gain-of-function approaches (siRNA, ASO) to assess the therapeutic potential of targeting DNM3OS.

Contexte de travail
The postdoctoral fellow will join the “Senescence, fibrosis and cancer” team, part of the CANTHER laboratory (UMR9020 CNRS / UMR-S1277 Inserm / University of Lille), located within the OncoLille cancer research institute. The team focuses on the role of senescence and fibrosis in cancer development and progression, with strong expertise in the study of non-coding RNAs and fibrotic signaling pathways. The research environment is highly collaborative and offers access to state-of-the-art platforms in genomics, histology, and in vivo imaging. The fellow will benefit from a stimulating scientific atmosphere, and support for career development.
Contraintes et risques
Possibility of working shifts and public holidays (cell culture and animal experiments).
