Missions
Within the framework of the European project EURAD and the WP MAGIC, the person recruited will be in charge of carrying out part of the work defined in tasks 2 and 3 concerning the experimental characterization of the mechanical behavior of cement materials.
Activities
Carrying out multi-scale laboratory tests to characterize the impacts of carbonation on the mechanical and transport properties of cementitious materials; interpretation of the results in relation to micro-structural degradation.
Skills
Very good knowledge of cementitious materials, including compositions and micro-structures, good command of experimental methods, good knowledge of multi-scale approaches to heterogeneous materials.
Work Context
The work will be carried out at the LaMcube Laboratory.
The LaMcube is a Joint Research Unit (UMR 9013 since 2020) between the CNRS, the University of Lille and Centrale Lille, bringing together teacher-researchers and researchers in mechanics and civil engineering. This unit was created in January 2018.
The ambition of LaMcube is to create a continuum from the elaboration of materials to the description of systems under stress, through the consideration of the evolution of materials and structures with these stresses. The consideration of the relevant scales with respect to the considered applications is an essential point of our activities.
More precisely, the person recruited will work in the Geomaterials Mechanics team (GEOM) under the responsibility of Jianfu Shao and Thomas Rougelot.
Constraints and risks
There are no particular constraints or risks.
