Job Description

Missions

Design innovative biotechnological tests for the development of next-generation diagnostics in an interdisciplinary context, encompassing synthetic biology, microfluidics, biochemistry, and clinical applications. Implement and maintain specialized microfluidic devices.

Activity

Research & Development
• Conduct research to design novel microfluidic and biotechnological developments for the creation of biomachines for diagnostic purposes.
• Develop new systems and protocols for the controlled fabrication of nano/micro biochemical reactors, based on experimental and modeling approaches.
• Validate proposed proofs of concept.
• Ensure and organize scientific and technological watch in these fields.
• Supervise students, technicians, and/or engineers.
• Manage the technical resources allocated to the microfluidics platform.
Communication & Dissemination
• Write, disseminate, and valorize technological results and achievements in the form of reports, patents, publications, oral presentations, and teaching.
• Apply and enforce ethical, hygiene, safety, and good laboratory practice regulations in the workplace.
• Design and pilot the implementation of a quality approach (without aiming for platform certification).
• Participate in writing funding applications.
• Team Management & Animation
• Communicate and report to the entire team on the progress of research work.
• Develop, define, and deploy an action plan for the technological evolution of the platform.
• Analyze, objectify, and synthesize use cases for the platform.
• Additional or Transversal Activities
• Provide training to laboratory members (if needed).
• Supervise internships, technicians, and engineers.

• Imagine and conduct, while adapting experimental conditions, a set of microfabrication and fluid micromanipulation techniques.

• Write experimental or study reports and technical notes.
• Manage and organize technical resources within a scientific project.
• Operate and maintain dedicated equipment for the approach.

• Conduct scientific and technological watch in the field of activity.
